| SearchHello all, I promise I haven't forgotten about you... I've been moving and starting a new job and my life has been so hectic. I know that's not an excuse but I refuse to lose site of DS entirely. Instead I'm looking for ways to reinvent the site that also lowers the maintenance I need to do. I want the site to grow, but when it does I need to make sure it's automated enough that I can keep up. The closest solution I can see is transitioning more to a sharing and communicating site for all things design. This can include general art, fashion and other possible categories. I would simplify the site...

Just comment with your youtube username or link!  Every Entry Gets: 500 Points The Winner Gets: 2 Diamonds Okay so I thought this might be a fun game for those of you who enjoy real life designers. What I'm going to do is post a few fashions and the first person to guess the designer wins 500 points! Each round will be different and possibly have a theme as well. If no one has guessed the designer after the first week I'll start giving a new hint every week until someone gets it! Round #18 is another challenge:  So I've been trying to think of ways that members can have a collection of fashions to show off. One option would be to use the gallery and just have fashions transfer to the buyers gallery... I decided to try out this theory for now, but it may not fully stick. The only issue really is with the amount of gallery space, right now we have a large amount thanks to our premium hosting account. I would need to possibly buy more in the future though as that could add up.
The good news is that if this works, everyone can see what you have in your gallery that you've bought while still knowing who... As of late December I will be across the country visiting family in Portland for the holidays! I will be gone December 21st thru January 7th, meaning that I won't be able to create new content during that time. While I am super excited to go back to Portland, I will miss everyone here and have a hard time leaving things for awhile. Since this is shaping up to be a very busy month for me with work, I am debating if I will have time to do the January Society Reader. I don't want to miss an issue, but don't want to slack on quality either because I will be so rushed. If enough members stepped up to... Second I think that it's likely most members don't use the bottom masonry blocks anymore, maybe some of you do though. I wanted to let you know of a few changes to our Design Studio. I'm currently experimenting with ways to customize our design experience and make things easier for members. In doing so I've found that Photopea supports a large amount of customization including some things that will likely be implemented down the road. For now the new setup gives you the option to choose a model base, boutique template or upload your own image. From there it automatically loads the image, making it easy for you to start designing right away. I'm going to eventually make some improvements, but this is... As some of you may already know, our 6 year anniversary is this August! To celebrate there will be several different things I have planned for everyone including a special issue of the SR, more challenges, and other new features. I thought some of you might want a little insight on the upcoming events so here's a sneak peek...

New Challenges...  I know you've all been waiting anxiously and they're finally here! Diamond Unlockables are available in the Catalogue, starting with fashions that unlock at 25, 50, 75 & 100 Diamonds. This new shop is also interactive where you can simply click on the fashions in the boutique to add them to your cart. Enjoy everyone!   Most of you will have received the first DS Alert already directly to your inbox. If for some reason you've not received the first alert then you can join the group and start receiving alerts from the given link. Hello everyone I just noticed that our domain has reverted back to the designerssociety.forumotion.com This is not a site issue on my end as I still own the domain until next year. As I researched on forumotion it's actually a global issue on our host. I'm still researching and checking their site for updates constantly. Hopefully they will have it fixed soon but until then, you can access the site pages by changing designerssociety.net to designerssociety.forumotion.com  This week the winner will get 500 points for their coffee shop inspired designs!~ The Official Winner is: Starloft The most noticeable change you'll all see is the new loading function which should show a loading circle until pages are fully loaded. I put this in place to ensure that our other site features work correctly, by giving the pages a full chance to completely load. If anyone notices issues with this at all please let me know, I'm about to test it in different browsers next. I'm also going to do my best to help speed up general site loading so that this will help our Challenges load better on all pages. Those of you who our looking to help... Since we've had a few issues with current design studios, I decided to look for some other options that may work better. As you might've noticed, Sumopaint stopped offering the option to save to your computer, so that had to be replaced. I also took down sketchpad as some of its features weren't detailed enough for designing. In replacement I've added Pixlr and Photopea which both work great and should be similar to stuff you've already used. Everyone let me know what you think of them and if you all like them then I'll look into making more youtube tutorials and specific how to's for both of them... I'm looking to all of you for help in further improving DS! If you want to help us build our features with paid help and buy advertisements to draw in more members, you can do your part through donations. Those of you who would like to help further improve our site can contribute to the efforts here. Donations will go towards paid advertisements across social media and the internet, as well as paid help with current site features, and the overall further improvement of Designers Society. All donations are kept private and are completely anonymous, so your privacy and security is completely safe... I've been trying to think of the best options when it comes to adding site features. While I have a huge list of ideas and want to bring all of them back, I can only handle one thing at a time. So I decided to turn to all of you and let you help choose what we add next. You can voice your ideas as well if you have other thoughts or if you have additional ideas for the features listed. I'll let you all decide over the next 2 weeks and then start putting the highest vote into action mid April!  This week the Challenge will last an extra week and the winner will get 3 diamonds! #2 Updated Banner: It's been awhile since the banner contest so it's time for some freshening up, and with... Why is there so much drama lately? I know there aren't as many active members and you're all finding ways to keep entertained but people that's not the way to go about it! Members have been driven away by malicious comments and snide remarks. Instead of trying to tear apart other and have a negative opinion of everything, you should try to help each other with constructive tips and helpful ideas. New members who see all of this going on aren't enticed to join in with a bunch of catty drama, they want to share creative ideas and connect on a basis we all enjoy, FASHION. Remember...  I'm sorry that it's been so long, but the weekly challenges are back! This one comes with a lil silver & gold prize: Surprise Accessory Collection featuring designs from several of our members! So I know that it's been awhile since I've added site updates, but I'm now able to settle down after graduation and take some time to work on the site.
